The 300

Our launch team is working hard on raising funds we are calling The 300. It's based on a need. We're going to be launching Hub City Church sometime in September. In order to launch right we need to raise about $30,000 in start up funds. When we look at that number we are totally overwhelmed. That's where The 300 comes in. The 300 is really 300 opportunities to give $100 a piece. That means we need 300 people to give us $100 a piece, or 30 people to give $1000 a piece, or one person to give $30,000, or some other combination. You get the picture. Our pastor shared the concept of The 300 with a group of pastors a couple of weeks ago, someone pulled out their checkbook and wrote a check for $100 and gave it to him before he even finished his spiel. Someone else committed $200 for the next couple of months. He couldn't believe it. God is already providing. Would you pray for us as we seek to raise $30,000? Will you consider contributing to The 300? I'll keep you updated on this blog about our progress. One down, 299 to go!

If you are interested, you can mail a check to:
P.O. Box 55
Moore, SC 29369

http://hubcityunderground.wordpress.com/

Any amount is tax deductible! We still need alot of others who will commit to helping us launch. Please contact us as soon as possible if you feel like God is speaking to you. There is much to do!

Something Bigger Than Ourselves?

Do you ever believe that each of us was created to be a part of something bigger than ourselves? Bigger than the houses we live in, the cars we drive, the friends we have, always wanting more. Each of us has an innate, God-given need to be a part of some grand movement, cause or revolution. I cannot think of any greater cause, movement or revolution than to participate in starting a new church. Why? Because the Church is what God has set up to be His agent of redemption. The Church is God's plan to introduce all humanity to Jesus. The Church is God's hands and feet on earth.

As many of you know, we are part of a group starting a new church in Spartanburg . Currently we are looking for team members who will join us in creating a revolutionary church that 20 and 30 somethings want to be a part of. I believe that God is calling some of you to be on that team. Will you pray about being a part of this team? I look forward to hearing back from you, answering your questions, and having you join the revolution here in Spartanburg.

December 2007

We went to the Christmas for Caylyn fundraiser. It was amazing to see the turn out. Please lift up prayers for this precious family. If you have any extra cash, that would be great to pass along as well. Caylyn still has a long road ahead of her.

Emma was in the Christmas program at school. She loved picking out her dress and boots for the occasion.

Sebastian and Lilly celebrated their first Christmas in the family. My brother and family flew in for a week this time. It was great to have them! Sebastian and Lilly are one month apart. Can you believe that looking at this picture?

Isn't this a great family picture of everyone?

Look at this picture of Sebastian
as a puppy dog!

So Cute!

November 2007

Sara and Emma were both awarded as Terrific Kids of the month at their school.

Sara performed for a retirement village. It was so much fun! Sara encouraged the others to participate in playing different instruments.

Emma loved hamming it up with her teacher at a class party.

We had a wonderful time with family and friends this month. It is always good to reflect on all your many blessings. I am always in awe of how God has so richly blessed us all. We just don't deserve HIS gift of salvation. Thank you Lord Jesus for providing a way for us to be with you one day. AMEN...

October 2007

We had georgous weather for a beautiful wedding. My brother flew in from Honduras to walk his daughter down the aisle. She was absolutely breathtaking!

Our son-in-law, Derek, was baptized by immerson. It was wonderful to see him and his testimony. We love you and are proud of you Derek!

Sara, the pirate, loved taking Emma, the glamour girl, hostage for some Halloween fun.
